Axe Throwing Venue in Brisbane’s Bayside Adds Rage Rooms to its Offerings

Updated: Mar 1

MEDIA RELEASE

Date: February 2, 2024

Cleveland, QLD - The Bayside local family-owned axe throwing venue, 13 Axes Australia, has announced the addition of rage rooms to its entertainment options.

Rage rooms, also known as smash rooms or anger rooms, are spaces where people can vent their frustration by breaking or smashing objects.

13 Axes Axe Throwing Australia, which opened in 2020, is the first and only axe throwing venue in Brisbane’s Bayside area. It offers a fun and unique experience for groups of friends, families, couples, and corporate teams. Customers can learn how to throw axes in a safe and supervised environment, with trained coaches and a variety of games and challenges.

The new rage rooms, which are located in a separate section of the venue, allow customers to unleash their inner Hulk and destroy items such as plates, bottles, TVs, and computers. Customers can choose from different packages, depending on the number of items and the duration of the session. They can also bring their own smaller items to smash, as long as they are approved by the staff.

With both Axe Throwing & Rage Rooms open to anyone aged 12+, 13 Axes is the perfect adventure experience, right here in Brisbane’s Bayside.

13 Axes husband & wife owners, Jason & Sammi Lake said that the rage rooms were a natural extension of the axe throwing concept. “We wanted to offer something different and exciting for our customers, something that they can’t find anywhere else in the Bayside. Rage rooms are a great way to relieve stress, have fun, and express yourself. They are also a perfect complement to axe throwing, as you can warm up or cool down with some smashing action.”

Lake added that the rage rooms were designed with safety and hygiene in mind. Customers are provided with protective gear, such as overalls, gloves, and masks, and the smashable items are sourced and purchased from local recycling centres and Opportunity Stores. The smashed items are then collected and disposed of responsibly.

13 Axes is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 2pm. Bookings are essential and can be made online via the 13 Axes website. The venue also hosts parties and events, with a full alcohol free bar inside of the Axe House that offers a great range of alc free Cocktails, Beers, Wines & Spirits. So you can enjoy a drink during your session, without the added worries of being able to drive afterwards!
